Around ten years ago Time Magazine called her "America's greatest songwriter" a title that some of us Bob Dylan fanatics didn't exactly agree with but still I have long admired Lucinda Williams' work.Last night I saw her again for the umpteenth time but it was a special show as she was celebrating the 30th anniversary of her first LP. The show was great as she performed a couple of songs from each of her CDs. But what made the evening so special was she got married to her former bass player on stage. Not often you go to a concert and get to see a wedding. Lucinda clearly was very pleased by all that transpired. The band kicked ass and the wedding? It was alright thanks to a poetry reading from her father...
