Looking Good

Alias is honoring his brother by sitting in the Thelonious Dribble memorial laundry basket. Theo’s all time favorite place to sit.

Thompson and Diego-San were really close and spent a lot of time together. But during all our years together I don’t remember them ever sleeping face to face.
 

Catnip Hunter

I bought the first new catnip toy since Theo left us. He loved catnip toys. It made me a little sad but Norma has been playing more and more with the toys and has ripped up one pretty throughly. She impressed me by finding the new toy immediately even though I placed it in the toy box when she wasn’t in the same room.
 

Culprit

The air conditioner repair guy found that somebody partially dislodged a panel on my furnace knocking the panel into a switch that turned the whole system off. Since the last time I was around my furnace was to replace the filter a few months ago, it couldn’t been me. I’m not naming names but she has unsupervised visits to the laundry room… I didn’t feel so guilty leaving my housemates in the sweltering heat for a couple of days.
 

Hot

Yesterday was one of the rare days of me going into the office rather than working from home. It was our hottest day of the summer yet and when I got back home I noticed the house was really warm. Sure enough the air conditioner was not working. Poor Alias and Norma were resting on the tiled kitchen floor looking at me like I left them to burn in a sauna.
 

What Matters

Sometimes I look over during an online meeting and see this and I lose all interest in whatever is being discussed in the meeting.
 

Red Alert

I don’t like when one of them suddenly sits up and looks alert… makes me think someone broke into our house. I’m sure they caught on to that and that’s why they do it…
 

Quality Time

Norma and I took a really long nap together. I like when we do that.
