Other kitties with blogs typically post selfies on Sunday. Thompson likes to be his own cat so he's posting a selfie on Thursday. Hopefully the blogosphere will not explode.

Errant Peacemaker

I heard Thompson and Theo fighting in the other room for a longer than normal amount of time. Diego-san was resting on my lap and his ears perked up at the increasingly unhappy cat sounds coming from the other room. He eventually got up and decided to check out what was happening.  There have been times when he has rescued Thompson in the sense that Theo will leave Thompson alone and begin fighting with Diego-san. I continued to hear Thompson growling and hissing though so I thought I better check out what was going down.  I arrived to find what the video captured...

Punchy

Welcome to my newest friend, my Apple Watch who I have named Punchy.  My very first watch was a Hawaiian Punch watch that my mom gave to me when I started going to school.  The face of the watch featured the cartoon character Punchy.  I'm enjoying the watch thus far but the one issue I've run into is that when I'm lounging around watching TV, Diego-san tends to sleep on my left side. This makes checking the watch all but impossible without disturbing him.  Priorities man.

Fort Knox Like Box

Theo may have discovered the best box ever because inside the box is a paper bag. It's twice the hiding spaces.

Bad News, Good News

I let Diego-san know I'm attending three concerts in four days. The first was yesterday (Neko Case). Tonight Nellie McKay. Tuesday night Rhiannon Giddens. He wasn't pleased I was shirking my servant duties but I eventually convinced him the good news is it means abbreviated guitar practice all three nights.

Not Into Show Biz

I asked Thompson to do something entertaining for the camera. He refused to be a dancing monkey.

A Shield

Since his food guy has such a dour demeanor, Theo makes sure to soak in the sun so he himself maintains a sunny disposition.

Strategery

This is Diego-san's preferred strategic place setting. If Theo is in front of him, Theo cannot ambush him.

A Difficult Life

I don't serve him meals when he wants to be served meals. Sometimes when he goes to use the box it hasn't been cleaned. We don't go to bed when he wants to go to bed. We don't get up in the morning when he wants to get up in the morning.  Sometimes his combing sessions don't last long enough. Diego-san's life is SO hard.

Green Eyed Boy

My favorite color in the whole wide world is the green of Thompson's eyes.

Bubble Boy

You have to look real close at the photo but Theo is blowing a spit bubble.  He sometimes sits around for minutes with a spit bubble in the middle of his lips.  It's kinda cute.

Preparing for a Licking

If you look closely you can see Theo's whiskers in the top right hand corner of this pic.  Thompson's face indicates he knows what is coming- Theo is going to come over and lick his face.

Ommmmmm

Sometimes relaxation is about emptying your mind and letting things go.  Theo has no problem with that technique.

An Idea

When Diego-san first moved into his our house he used to occasionally stroll up and down the keyboard of the piano in the living room.  He hasn't done that for a while.  When I practice guitar he does stay nearby on my bed which has this keyboard blanket.  Maybe I can move the piano upstairs to my bedroom and Diego-san and I can form a band.

Thompson may need to be re-assembled. I'm not sure all the parts are in the right place.

I don't think anything all that interesting was going on downstairs but the boyz's curiosity signals otherwise.

Perfect Match

When we sold my dad's house my siblings and I took stuff that had sentimental value even if it wasn't in the best shape.  One of the things I ended up saving was this red stool that my parents bought me to reach the sink when I brushed my teeth.  Somehow the saying on it is very Theo-centric.

Diego-san can't believe I spent $350 for an Apple Watch when watching anything but him is a waste of time (that I'll be able to track on my new Apple Watch).

Taxing

I told Thompson I'm in a bit of a panic because I haven't even begun working on our taxes.  Depending on the outcome we may or may not be eating for a while.

A Master

In the art of "letting it all hangout relaxation techniques" Diego-san has achieved master status.

Theo found Diego-san's joke to be extremely funny.

House Rules

Thompson couldn't believe it when I told him if he saw a bunny hop through the house with a basket full of eggs, it was OK.

Theo hopes the funnel of light in front of him leads to a food fairy appearing.

I've Been Replaced

Diego-san wanted me to pay attention, sit with him, while I was trying to get ready for work yesterday morning. He can be rather persistent about expressing what he wants so finally I had to scold him and tell him I needed to get going for work.  He ended up sulking away.  When I went upstairs I found him where he usually is when I leave for work- the big pet bed by my bed.  I didn't feel so bad. He had found a better snuggling partner.

Good Help is Hard to Find

Certainly looks warm enough to have the window open.  Diego-san thinks his servant obviously needs some window opening remedial training.
