New Year's Eve

It was a topsy turvy year both personally and with world events. Who better a spokescat to represent that than Diego-san?

Siamese Cats

I think Theo is trying to gain some life knowledge through osmosis.

That's Not Theo

One of my friends was out of town for Christmas so I said I would stop by her house and feed her three cats. The tuxedo cat is Marcel who has been very sick (kidney failure). My friend adopted Marcel a few months before I adopted Theo so he's been Theo's doppelganger. Marcel's eyes are closer together so I've always thought he looked a bit smarter than Theo but hearing some of the stories about him, I'm not sure that's true.

The other cat in the picture is Fiona who moved into her forever home just a few months ago.  She and her brother still have a lot of kitten energy. Fiona has had some behavioral issues when her human isn't home (peeing in inappropriate places) so she and her brother Leo get locked in a room when her human isn't home. This was the most difficult part of my catsitting duties- rounding Fiona and Leo up to put them in their room. As I told my friend, it was a little like herding cats.

Ring

I told Theo the ringing in my ears isn't from sleigh bells.  It's called tinnitus.

Da Boyz

Not a great pic, but it's rare for me to get all three boyz in the same photo.

Weather Boy

Over the weekend the temperatures were subzero.  Yesterday it got up to nearly 40 degrees Fahrenheit. That's a fifty degree swing in a couple of days.  Thompson wanted to know why we are crazy enough to live in this neck of the woods. (Although he's glad to have a comfy place to call home these past 13 years as opposed to his first year when he was a feral cat).

Blue Jeans Baby

Thompson can't look as cool as James Dean wearing blue jeans but he can certainly look cooler than Dean sitting on top of blue jeans.

Theo found a box within a box. This is the coolest thing ever.

Difference of Opinion

We have another major snowstorm on the way expected to dump six to eight inches of snow. Some of us are already tired of winter. Others kinda love the winter sun rays.

Santa Practice

I told Theo it's up to him to plead his case with Santa about whether he's been good or bad this year.  He's practicing his best good boy face.

It's twelve degrees out. We're supposed to get three inches of snow over the weekend. None of this matters to Diego-san except the food guy is saying some words not heard very often around here...

Louie

My favorite moment in my favorite sitcom, "Louie" comes when Louie bumps into a doctor (played by the great Charles Grodin) and asks for some relationship advice. The doctor is walking his three-legged dog. He asks Louie how many legs the dog has and Louie says, "three" with a puzzled look on his face.  The doctor corrects Louie and tells him the answer is "he has plenty." The doctor then asks Louie, "do you know the only thing happier than a three-legged dog?" Louie shrugs. "A four-legged dog." You can view the wonderful scene here.

Poor Theo

Whenever I bring the trash out to the outside garbage container, I say to Diego-san (who always supervises the collection process), "It's time to bring out the trash... No, I'm not taking Theo out..." This always seems to disappoint Diego-san.

Grinch

Diego-san heard through the catvine that during this time of year other homes bring in a tree decorated by objects for their cats to swat and play around with.  He's wondering why our house has never done that.

Pile On

We spent a lot of time doing this last week when I was home most of the time. Kitty pile +1 (food guy).

Reflecting

Diego-san and I were recently reflecting on our 13 years together.  The only thing he'd change are the times I annoyed him on a daily basis.

Calling All Inventors

Somebody really does need to invent a bunk hammock.

Availability = More Food?

The food guy took the entire week off. Theo wants to know why that didn't mean more food all around.

Special Day

Today is bury your head in your brother day. Thompson loves this day.
