I’m giving Diego-San a head scritch. Theo is scritching his own head from the inside out.

Heartwarming

The nice thing that has happened over the past few months is Diego-San is starting to be more acceptive of Theo. They don’t snuggle, but they are spending time in close proximity more and more. Yesterday Diego-San actually took a spot next to the napping Theo.

Unhappy T

Theo had a visit to the vet. His peeing in places other than the litter box issue has gotten worse. He actually sat on the carpet next to me while I was working on my computer and peed. Unfortunately the visit wasn’t very productive because his bladder was empty. So it’s back to the vet on Tuesday.

Bob

Bob Dylan was fantastic. The show was at a venue about 80 miles from my house so I decided to stay at a hotel. The boyz sitter said Diego-San told her a lot of stories during her visit. He has become much more vocal the past year and a half.

And if you think seeing Bob for the 49th time is crazy... I got on the hotel elevator after the show and the guy next to me flew in from Germany to see him. He’s been to over 200 Dylan concerts.

The Answer My Friend

I told Theo I’m about to go to my 49th Bob Dylan concert. He let me know he doesn’t have enough toes to count that high.

Diego Savings Time

I read something I wrote in 2003 shortly after I brought Diego-San and Thompson to their new home. I wrote about how much energy they both had. Sixteen years is a long time ago...

I’m trying to teach Diego-San how to make my bed since he’s the one that races underneath the sheets when I’m changing them. He quite honestly doesn’t seem too interested in learning.

Apparently, this is black cat awareness month. I’ll admit I wasn’t one who thought I’d ever bring a black cat into my home. Not that I was opposed to that, but I always found other cats more attractive. Then I met Diego-San. His fur is silky. His face is so handsome. And his personality is as big as the sky. I’ve loved every day, every moment, every year we’ve spent together. Would I encourage another to take a black cat into their life? Um, that’s a stupid question.

Retreat

It’s blustery and cold outside with some snow falling from the grey sky. I have an all day retreat to attend. Diego-San retreated to the warmth of his bed which is located in front of a heating vent.

Simple Needs

Theo’s a simple guy. Here are his needs: 1) a steady source of food; 2) a comfortable place to nap; 3) a brother (or two) to share his journey with; 4) a sun puddle.

There’s snow in the forecast for the weekend. Diego-San is ready to wash somebody’s mouth out with soap after hearing some colorful words.

Our Joke

We have a weekly joke in our house. When it’s time to take out the trash I say to the boyz, “I’m going to take out the trash.” And then I turn to Diego-San and say, “No, I’m not taking out Theo.” Then Theo gives me this look.

Chillin Out

Over the past couple of months, some of Diego-san’s iciness  toward Theo has lessened. Yesterday he actually hopped onto the bed and took a place next to Theo. This literally is the first time I’ve ever seen that happen. I hope this continues.

Weekend

This is one of the rare weekends until the end of the year where I have absolutely nothing to do but spend time with the boyz. I’m greatly looking forward to it.

His Niche

Theo’s new favorite spot to sleep at night is at the foot of the bed. He’s an excellent foot warmer.

Fever Pitch

Playoff baseball time is one of my favorite times of the year. It has been since I was in third grade. Obviously Diego-San agrees with me with his wild enthusiasm.

The Real Thing is Better

He doesn’t understand why I waste my time taking pictures of his handsome face when I could just as easily stare into his eyes that belong to his handsome face.
