Alias pointed out the clock behind him says it’s 9:38, way past his dinner time. I had to clarify it was only 6:00 our time. Nice try though.

 

Hanging Out with Theo

I continue to monitor Theo’s quality of life. About the only things he enjoys these days are occasionally sitting on my lap with my undivided attention and napping in front of the space heater. His lifelong love of food is still there but likely out of habit than enjoyment. Thus I truly love when Alias or Norma spend time with him. I know he loves the company.

Theo Update

Talked to the vet about Theo’s thyroid test results. Good news, his thyroid level is near normal so the medication is working. The vet had warned me thyroid issues can mask kidney and liver issues. Theo’s kidney and liver levels are at the high end of normal. Bad news, Theo has been throwing up every morning this past week, with a horrible screeching sound he’s never made before. Vet thinks it maybe a bowel issue. Trying to decide the next step forward.

Theo’s Weekend Adventure

Theo had an early Saturday trip to the vet to get his thyroid tested. He howled in displeasure as I picked him up and placed him in his carrier. He howled even louder on the short car trip. The vet tech said he gave her several kisses. Waiting for the results… He brought home an unusual smell because Norma screeched every time Theo got nearby. Poor guy.

By the time this storm is over, it looks like we’ll have about a foot of snow. Norma and Alias said they were fine sleeping by the heating vent and letting me deal with all the snow.
