A Different Kind of Fight

I'm not sure if Diego-san is the one responsible for the scratch on Thompson's nose. If he is he chose an entirely different fight strategy for his tussle with Theo last night.

Theo was bugging him so Diego climbed up so he was seated just a little bit above Theo. He raised his right paw and proceeded to whap Theo on the forehead. He continued doing this as Theo looked up at him dazed, head bent as if to say, 'ow that hurts' but he refused to move away from the whapping.

Actually Diego might have added this to his fight arsenal by watching Thompson. It's a move that is almost necessary for Thompson to defend himself. He stands on his back legs and uses his lone front paw to keep either Theo or Diego at a distance.I have yet to see Theo use the hammer hit yet preferring instead to chase, tackle, and wrestle.

Those are some complicated moves. I think the big bitey is much simpler.

Hammer Hit Thompson. I love it! He could make it to WWE any day now that's got the name!

Bean was supposed to go to STH party last night but we have thunderstorm, so she whimp out. The first game is tonight. I am mildly concerned because last time we have thunderstorms this early in the year we end up with Hurricane Charley.

Blackie was one of her favorite players when he was here. He was a good pitcher and a really nice laid back guy. She intercepted some kids who were looking for autographs in the middle of the game and rerouted them to the pitching staff that as sitting in the stands. Blackie was one of them, at the top of the section. After the inning the kids swarmed him for 'graphs. She appologized later but he took it with a good sense of humor.

The problem with Redmond is you lose Mauer's bat and you need that in the line up. It's not like the Twins have that many power hitters that they can spare one.

Since I am an only cat I have never had the need to whap anything, but it sounds like a very good move!

We wrassel! It's like wrestling, with tumbling and the ocassional bitey thrown in for good measure.

The hammer hit is a very popular move in our house. It sounds as though Thompson has mastered it well!
