Commonalities
Some of you might know I've played the sport curling for over ten years. It's something that Thompson and I kind of have in common because he likes to curl his toes.
The medication Zoey (and Ernie too) gets when she goes to the vet is gabapentin. It’s a pain medication but in a higher dose has sedation effects. It doesn’t knock the cat out, just makes them feel relaxed. It can make them a little wobbly on their feet, though, like a drunken sailor. The effects last about 8-12 hours. More vets are prescribing it for cats who get too stressed going to the vet. Hope that helps. ~Island Cat Mom
