Difference of Opinion

Louie

My favorite moment in my favorite sitcom, "Louie" comes when Louie bumps into a doctor (played by the great Charles Grodin) and asks for some relationship advice. The doctor is walking his three-legged dog. He asks Louie how many legs the dog has and Louie says, "three" with a puzzled look on his face.  The doctor corrects Louie and tells him the answer is "he has plenty." The doctor then asks Louie, "do you know the only thing happier than a three-legged dog?" Louie shrugs. "A four-legged dog." You can view the wonderful scene here.

Poor Theo

Whenever I bring the trash out to the outside garbage container, I say to Diego-san (who always supervises the collection process), "It's time to bring out the trash... No, I'm not taking Theo out..." This always seems to disappoint Diego-san.

Grinch

Diego-san heard through the catvine that during this time of year other homes bring in a tree decorated by objects for their cats to swat and play around with.  He's wondering why our house has never done that.

Pile On

We spent a lot of time doing this last week when I was home most of the time. Kitty pile +1 (food guy).

Reflecting

Diego-san and I were recently reflecting on our 13 years together.  The only thing he'd change are the times I annoyed him on a daily basis.

Blog Guy - Fail

The boyz are wondering what happened to their blog guy and why their activities haven't been diligently reported on this past week. They are thinking of contracting with somebody else. This was harsh news on the blog guy given it came on his birthday.

Insanity

It's been a crazy work week preparing for next Tuesday. A third of the city I work for has already voted. This is unprecedented. Our highest absentee voting percentage before was in 2008 when 17% of our voters voted before election day. Lines at city hall this week required voters to wait close to an hour before getting to vote. I worked a 60+ hour work week and the boyz are none too happy about the disruption to the routine. I keep telling them things will get back to normal soon. I'm not sure Thompson believes me.
