I was reading an article that suggested that when I leave my house, my housemates think I’m going hunting for food. No wonder why Kenta always happily greets me at the door when I get home.

 

She’s In Charge

Kenta thinks he’s supervising his sister. Hate to tell him, but one thing I’ve learned living with Norma the past four years, is she doesn’t take to supervision… at all.
 

Mood Lifters

I was having a really difficult day and I looked over to see Norma and Alias snuggling. I just had to smile.
 

Ah Choo

With the spring thaw over the last week, my allergies have kicked in. Probably doesn’t help to have a housemates shedding his winter coat and constant cleaning adding to the normal dander level.
 

Donald the Duck

We had a warm and sunny weekend. Kenta had quality time with his duck.

It looks like Kenta is punching Alias’s left side of his face. I’m sure it was a love tap.

Winter Storm

Got another four inches of snow overnight. I had planned to go to the Timberwolves game but turned around and came home to watch the game with my housemates.
 

Energy Guy

A guy from the energy company was scheduled to install a new gas meter. I forgot to write down the appointment so when he called me when he arrived I bolted out of bed to turn down the furnace. This scared Alias and Norma and they skipped breakfast. Not Kenta, he was not going to forgo a meal just because the routine was broken.
 

Boxing Day

I grabbed this box of papers, went a few feet away to grab another box and when I returned… I’m thinking our routine has gotten too boring that moving a box from one place to another is the cause of interest.
 

Laundry Day

It’s laundry day so why not sit on the laundry hamper to celebrate?

 Norma saw Kenta’s resting place and although she’s never rested in it before she decided she needed to. Norma is in charge of our house.

Kenta has definitely learned what it means when he sees me putting on my shoes. It means I’ll be leaving the house and possibly the next meal will be delayed.

It’s been really cold over the past week. We’ve had cold weather advisories much of the week with wind chills dipping down to 35 below. It’s good to have a snuggle buddy to stay warm with.
 

Weekend Plans

Norma plans to spent a lot of time enjoying the view from her perch. 
 

A Satisfying Life

Kenta is trying to decide if his favorite part of his day are his meal or if it is naps in the sun or if it is playtime with Porky his toy hedge hog. I think all in all it adds up to a happy life.

Alias is always pretty patient when Kenta sits on him.

It inspires me to know they’ve spent their entire lives together and remain very close.

Norma would be very good at hide and seek. She has her go to spots but I’m often not sure where she is.

He Loves His Toys

These are Kenta’s two newest friends/toys. Mickey and Donald. Mickey is new, Donald has been here forever and he scared Kenta, Norma, and Alias when I squeezed his stomach to reveal he quacks. But Kenta has resumed playing with Donald.

Alias is a great brother. When his sister is going through her daily spastic, neurotic events, he watches but lets her be. When Norma is relatively calm, he snuggles with her. He accepts his younger brother’s cuddles and yet will playfully wrestle when the time is right.
