The boyz and I were honored to receive this award from Karen Jo at Kitty Limericks. Well... to be honest, I felt honored, Diego-san felt proud, Thompson felt happy, and Theo was off in the corner playing with a catnip mouse. Thanks Karen Jo.

History for a Weekend

Spent the weekend in Boston. Walked the Freedom Trail. It was cool to see all the history.

The boyz were pretty happy to see me walk through the door. That's all the history they need.

Did'ja Hear the One?

I worked later than I expected to work so driving home I realized I was really glad that I had pulled some fish out of the freezer this morning and put it in the refrigerator to thaw. I was hoping it was completely thawed because it really doesn't taste so good when you have to defrost it in the microwave...

When I did get home I was doing my usual yammering to the boyz and I asked, "I wonder if my flounder is still frozen." The way it came out of my mouth sounded like a punchline to a dirty joke.

Theo's Wish

A Sleeping Thompson

I've never seen a picture of myself sleeping but I'm willing to bet I don't look as cute as a sleeping Thompson.

The midweek forecast was correct. The boyz and I woke up to a coating of snow covering the lawn. Arrrggg. I'm not quite ready to put away the scooter and hunker down for the winter.

Close Call

This was Thompson's reaction when I told him I was close to adopting a puppy a couple of weeks ago. A friend's dog had puppies and she was looking to place them all in good homes. She knew of my devotion to the boyz so she figured a puppy would have a good home here. In the end she decided to keep the puppy she wanted me to have (her favorite in the litter).

I think Theo would have loved to have a housemate with at least as much energy as him. It would have taken some time for Thompson to adjust but I think Diego-san would never have forgiven me for bringing in a challenger to his self perceived alpha status in the household.

What?

Ho Hum

I came home from the Twins exciting 12 inning division winning victory over Detroit waving my Homer Hanky. This was Theo's reaction. I guess he's not a baseball fan.

Peacemaker

Something tells me that if Theo hadn't showed up as a distraction/peacemaker, there might have been some lunging, wrestling and fur flying. For the record, it's a close call but I have to say Thompson officially wins the stare down.

Twins Win

The boyz and I spent the afternoon watching the Twins finish a remarkable late season run. By winning on Sunday they tied Detroit for first place and will have a one game playoff Tuesday. I have to admit I gave up on them about a month ago and didn't think it was possible that they'd make up seven games in just over a month. Woo hoo.

After All This Time

This often is the first thing I see when I open my eyes in the morning. I don't mind that at all.

Clarification

Theo wants everyone to know that the reason he called Thompson upstairs yesterday was that after a gloomy start to the week there finally was a stream of sunlight pouring in the skylights and there was more than enough sunshine for all to share...
