Taxes

I told the boyz that I’m trying to get our tax laws changed so I can claim them as dependents. Theo said the only thing he is dependent on is his next meal.

Green

I’m wearing my favorite hoodie. It’s my favorite because I love the green. I also love Diego-san’s green eyes...

Our Weekend

Weekend consisted of shoveling snow and snuggling with the boyz. The boyz were just fine with this. My back, not so much.

Wicker Boy

I bought this wicker bunk bed for Diego-San and Thompson many years ago. Theo has since claimed it as his own. But in all the years we’ve had the bed, none of the boyz has ever taken advantage of the bottom bunk. Until now.

No Contest

He’s definitely in the running for the most handsome male in our house.

Lap Turns

Theo is waiting for his turn on the lap. This is new behavior since he usually doesn’t wait, much to Diego-San’s dismay, to hop up whether the lap is vacant or not.

So Long Wally

We were very sad to learn of the loss of our friend Wally. The Island Cats were one of the first cat blogs we began following years ago. I also considered Wally and Ernie as the Diego-san and Thompson of the east. We'll miss you Wally.

Old Wise Guy

4-7 more inches of snow expected today. If we get that amount, we will have set a new record for the amount of snow in February in Minnesota. Diego-San just loves to sit in our front picture window watching me shoveling our sidewalk confirming I’m an idiot for thinking I can win the fight against Mother Nature.

Us Time

One of the things about my new job is it is an eleven minute drive from my house as opposed to the hour drive from my last job. Another thing is there are no regular nightly meetings. My past job had a Monday night meeting three times a month. Theo isn’t used to seeing me so much. I hope he can adjust.

Memories

My iPhone has an app that shows me photos taken on the same day/different years. This photo was taken a year ago today. All three of us still miss Thompson terribly (Theo in particular has just not been himself.) He truly made our house whole.

Human Pillow

Diego-san’s favorite spot on the human pillow is high up on the chest and shoulder where he can get his face right in mine. Theo prefers the belly with its soothing up and down movements. To each his own I guess.
