A-OK, Kind of

Thompson and Diego-san had their annual visit to the vet last Friday. They both were not shy about letting me know how they felt about the trip. Thompson hissed at a couple of pugs that were in the lobby. When we finally got to the exam room he kept growling at me.

I've been more than a little worried about him recently. He's been drinking a lot of water and correspondingly urinating a lot. I know these are warning signs for a lot of bad things in cats. The vet ordered an extensive blood test. I was very glad when she told me the results. Thompson's kidneys are functioning at a normal level. His glucose level is also normal  meaning no diabetes. Since his weight has remained steady and his appetite OK, I'm just supposed to monitor him for any more changes.

  1. Thompson, we're proud of you for hissing at those pugs. We're glad you checked out okay.

  2. Way to go Thompson for putting those pug dogs in their place! Glad to hear he is normal. I worry about diabetes in Shaggy because of his weight but he's always good. And he really is a big cat.
