A Moment with Norma
Sometimes at night, Norma becomes contemplative for a moment or two. And then she resumes throwing her toy mouse down the hallway and chasing Alias full speed down the steps…

Pink Panther
If Alias’ snout looks elongated, it’s because this picture was taken right before he yawned. I think he looks a little like the cartoon Pink Panther.

Norma and Alias
They were born part of a litter of six. They immediately were the two that bonded most closely. Their personalities are so different and complement each other perfectly. I’m truly blessed to have shared in their day to day lives for two years now.

Sky’s Falling
It hasn’t arrived yet but the forecast is for blizzard like weather the next few days. Alias is getting ready for it.

Sibling Time
Enjoying a heat bath together. Theo cleaned the top of Norma’s head and Norma did her stretch of approval.

Shelley and Kellie
When I started this blog many many years ago blogging was in its infancy. I never thought blogging about da Boyz would be seen by anyone. It was more an attempt to force me to write something every day, and archiving pictures of Thompson, Diego-San, and Theo. And yet somehow someone somewhere (Canada) began leaving comments on our blog. Shelley too was beginning to blog about her cat, Kellie the Orange Cat, so we regularly read, left comments on a daily basis on our blogs.
Shelley and I connected on Facebook but rarely communicated. She shared when Kellie died and left comforting comments when Thompson and Diego-San died. So I’m really sad to read that Shelley passed away this week. I so appreciated our strange connection- a love of cats and the work of blogging about our love of our feline companions. We never really met, never got to know each other on a significant basis but I can’t express how much Shelley and Kellie meant/mean to me. Our blogging connected us over a shared love of our cats and that truly meant a lot to me. I mourn this loss of a friend I never knew yet connected with so significantly.

Connections
Back in the winter of 1999 when my Mom was dying, my Dad bought her a space heater to help her try to stay warm. I somehow ended up with that space heater but have never used it, storing it instead in a closet. When my furnace went out last month I finally pulled out the space heater. Theo in particular, and Norma too, both have enjoyed the heat it provides… I’m glad the heater connects my Mom with Theo and Norma.

Brrrrrr
It’s gotten really cold outside so a) we’re glad we have a new furnace; and b) they are glad to have someone to snuggle with.
