Discombobulated Weekend

Theo’s enjoying a sun day on a Saturday. He’s planning on satting  tomorrow, a Sunday.

The Challenge

Diego-San is pretty darn good at relaxing. He challenges anyone to a contest who thinks she/he is better.

This is New

For the past few months when I wake up in the morning I find Theo sleeping in the middle of the bed (I tend to sleep on the edge). This is new. He never used to crawl onto the bed at all. Another change to our routines that I heartedly endorse.

My Lil Black Bear

Diego-San has taken to petting my face with his paws. I think it’s a sign of affection, but it feels like getting clubbed by sharp bear paws.

Wicker License

No one loves his wicker more than Theo.

Superstar

His grooming session is over and Diego-San now takes his place in the spotlight...

Theo’s Routine

For the past couple of years Theo has joined Diego-San and myself when we are in the basement watching TV. He rarely did this when Thompson was still around instead staying upstairs with Thompson. His routine now is to make biscuits on my chest, stomach and legs for about 5-10 minutes before settling into a spot. He rarely stays still for very long though, all the time waiting for the click of the TV being turned off which indicates it’s meal time...

Hump Day

It’s Wednesday. He’s found a hump to nap on.

Hey Ladies

Theo was disappointed no one sent him a Valentine. He wanted me to post a picture of his handsomeness.

Lap Time

The boyz pinned me down for most of the morning. And I was OK with that.

Adventure Averted

The boyz and I went from our man cave in the basement after an evening of watching TV up to the bedroom upstairs. When I got up the basement stairs I couldn’t believe how cold it felt in the kitchen. I looked at the weather gauge and it said the house temperature was 53 degrees.

I was worried there was an issue with the furnace and began thinking about how I would get the boyz to a hotel for the evening all the while wondering if the pipes would freeze and how I would prevent further disaster.

I went over to the thermostat and saw that it needed a new battery. Who knew that a dead thermostat could cause the furnace to stop running? Thankfully putting two new AA batteries in the thermostat fixed the problem. I don’t think the boyz would have enjoyed being dragged to a hotel and the cold drive there.

He’s My Valentine

I’m taking the day off and have Monday off due to Presidents Day. This means a four day weekend. Diego-San has reserved maximum lap time.

Finnish Theo

This is as close as Theo can get to spending time in a sauna. I have a little humidifier to help keep my guitars from drying out in the dry furnace warmed air... I have yet to find an alternative to a whirlpool for Theo.

Unfortunate

On one of my recent trips to Colorado Springs, I got to see the majesty of Pikes Peak. I told Diego-San it’s a shame he’ll never get to see such beauty. He told me it’s unfortunate I’ll never know the beauty of sleeping 20 hours a day.

Expectations

Theo looks like he’s expecting a great week. Since his definition of a great week involves meals delivered on time with some snacks on the side, I think his expectations will likely be met.

Mr. Big Shot

Diego-san’s priceless fur coat has a nice floofy sash.

Silent Storm

Another major snowstorm is blowing our way. Theo is listening for it...

Forecasts

Last weekend, the groundhog did not see his shadow meaning an early spring is on the way. Meanwhile, Diego-San ignored his brother meaning the deep freeze continues in our house.

OCD

Routine is back to normal. Theo’s OCD can finally resume.
