Dear Diary

It's Saturday. Thompson has claimed his favorite spot on the couch. The sun is enhancing his experience. All is good.

He's Concerned

Diego-san thinks I waste a lot of time doing things like cleaning, doing the laundry, and paying any attention to the other occupants of the house other than him. He doesn't want me to be a time waster.

Theo's Big Adventure

Theo survived his annual visit to the vet. He's lost a little weight and the vet said he seems to have a sore tooth that might eventually need to come out.

He was not a happy camper and to be fair I only warned him last night by telling him he was going on a big adventure in the morning.

Undeniable Postulate

Why is it if I take a picture of two of the boyz together, Theo always is the one doing something goofy?

Sentry

He's asked me for the password to allow me to proceed upstairs. I said "treats" and he said that was close enough.

Different Options

Some days, getting out of bed is the least appealing option. Some of us can ignore the option, others, unfortunately cannot.

Diego-san loves sleeping with head resting on my shoulder. Thompson prefers resting his head on my wrist/hand.  To each his own I guess.

Winter/Spring Wonderland

We ended up getting 15-18 inches of snow Saturday and Sunday. It's a little daunting shoveling snow that's up to your thighs, but the boyz were only exposed to a minimum of colorful words.

Grizzled Souls

The boyz are all lifelong Minnesotans where we are known for our harsh winters and hot and humid summers. They are heartier than your average boy.

Blizzard 2018

We are being hit by a blizzard this weekend. They say we might get up to 12 inches of snow and the wind is something fierce. Some of us had plans that involved leaving the house. Some of us changed those plans.

Not That He'd Admit to Missing Me

My work schedule has greatly cut into my home schedule. One day I left at 5:00 a.m. and didn't get back home until 11 p.m. Diego-san does not approve of this. He's very good at waking me up several times during the night, purring deeply and wandering back and forth across my chest.

Nothing more beautiful to see, than two boyz in the sun looking rather comfy.

Thompers

He hops along and it's a poetic motion that will forever be in my mind's eye because it is uniquely Thompson. I've seen similar gaits on other three legged animals but none to me are as lovely as Thompson's.

What is Theo Doing?

What does it look like Theo is doing? It may look like he's snoozing, napping, resting his eyes... In reality he's practicing his telepathic skills to try to get me up in the kitchen filling his food dish.

Watching His Figure

Diego-san is contemplating whether or not he should wear vertical stripes. He thinks he looks a little chubby in this photo (he's not...)

Theo just doesn't know what he is going to do if the food guy doesn't walk through that door in the next 60 seconds...Star

My Work Ethic

Thompson thinks the least I could do if I'm going to take his picture, is to get him entirely in the frame. I told him I live my life by doing the least I can do. I do not think he was amused.

Theo's philosophy is the more kitties in the house the merrier. Except if they impact the amount of food he gets.

Bah Humbug

It started snowing yesterday afternoon, continued snowing overnight, and is supposed to end tomorrow morning. We'll probably have around eight inches of snow when it's all over. Diego-san's look is exactly how I feel about this.

Math Boyz

I think Theo and Thompson are trying to teach me something about geometry but I was never a good math student so I'm not sure I am going to understand their lesson.

Our Club

The club's DJ, Thompson, has left the room. No more dancing for Diego-san.
