I left for work yesterday morning and Diego-san was in this position. When I got back home late in the afternoon, I saw a big hairball had been urped up on this spot of my bed.  Perfect.

Life on the Edge

For Thompson, the phrase "living life on the edge" means sticking his nose and paw out of the tunnel he sleeps in that helps protect against playful younger brothers.

Still in the Bag

I've left a couple of empty grocery bags lying out in the living room and kitchen. Theo thinks this is the greatest thing ever.

Preferred Type of Creativity

I've started writing a memoir. Diego-san doesn't believe it will be a best seller but he's happy because it means less time for guitar practicing meaning it's much more quiet in the evenings.

I'm Sorry Theo

I felt bad the other day because I was taking a much needed nap and Theo woke me up to remind me that it was only two hours from lunchtime. I yelled at him and must have scared him some because he crawled underneath the afghan at my feet and I had to come get him when it actually was lunchtime. He then spent much of the rest of the day in a bag.

D's Advice

Diego-san's tip of the day: when it's really hot and muggy it's very important to cool off your belly by exposing it to the sky. Oh, and the same thing applies for when you merely want a belly rub.

Our Lil Adventure

Welcome to the newest addition to our house: a brand new hot water heater. Lesson learned, having access to hot water is nothing to take for granted.

The boyz were pretty good about all the commotion connected with the installation. Diego-san tends to want to supervise all activity in the house but even he didn't want to go downstairs where all the noise was happening.  I didn't have the heart to tell the boyz that we will now have to go without meals for the next few years in order to pay off the new hot water heater...

Nothing To See Here

No hot water over the weekend. We have to have somebody over to hopefully fix, and not replace, our hot water heater.  This had little impact on Thompson other than the food guy probably smelled a little funkier having to take some very brief, cold showers.

Somehow I feel like I walked in on an important meeting that I wasn't invited to.

He asked me for the password to proceed upstairs. I didn't know but guessed "treats."  He let me continue up.

The List

Walls

This is Thompson's new spot to rest after breakfast. It gives him a couple of extra seconds of protection against the dreaded Thyroid pill.

Name Change

Theo wants me to change his name to "Diego-san" so he gets more favorable treatment. I told him I'd then have to change Diego-san's name to Thompson and Thompson's to Theo.  That might get a little confusing for all of us.

Locker Room

Diego-san thinks we should install some lockers in the bathroom. He has a brother he'd like to stuff inside one.
