Sometimes it's a good thing to stretch out on your favorite cat bed. But you don't want to do it too long because there are a lot of imaginary mice and actual brothers to chase around the house.

Talker, Not Walker

Thompson no longer joins the other boyz in greeting me at the door when I come home from work.  He still does however voice his thoughts about my being gone so long...

The boyz are playing a game of hide and seek.  Theo has no idea where Thompson is.

I told Diego-san the internet is full of cute cat photos. He decided he didn't want to add to the list.

Stress Remedy

Even the worst days at the office are no match for coming home to see this...

The Waiting Room

Theo is glad his stylist provides toys like a bongo ball that he can play with while he waits until his appointment starts.

Posing

Diego-san is practicing different poses for the inevitable statute as the world's greatest cat that will someday be built in his honor.

Thompson Update

Thompson's test results came back and his thyroid tested on the high end of normal.  The vet said that typically cats with hyperthyroidism tend to eat a lot and still lose weight.  Thompson has been skipping meals on a regular basis for several months. Not sure what to do next...

Readjustment Needed

Whiskers slightly out of alignment causing his head to tilt a little to the right.

All Paws Up

Theo's the only one in the house who has this in his repertoire: all paws up sleeping position. To each his own.

Weather/Nap Report

It finally has gotten summer like around our parts- hot and sticky. Thompson notes the heat doesn't impact his naps much.

Unhappy Boy

I hauled Thompson off to the vet to have his thyroid tested. He was not a happy boy, growling and howling at me the entire time.  I even heard him when they took him in back to draw blood.

Still no word on the test results...

Unmotivated Guard

I asked Theo to guard my guitar. He fell asleep on the job. Obviously he doesn't care if something were to happen to the guitar.

Conjoined

This is either the boyz's impression of a two headed cat or it's their interpretation of what a siamese cat looks like.

Our Biggest Soccer Fan

Diego-san enjoyed the women's World Cup finale. I had to take his word on how exciting the game was however since he blocked my view for many of the goals that were scored.

Laser Tag

The boyz got me back for tormenting them with the laser pointer...

I find Diego-san particularly fun to torment with the laser pointer. He always starts off as if he is way above chasing a red dot around the room. But eventually his will breaks down and he becomes the most aggressive chaser of all three boyz. I love when he chases it on the hardwood floor and I will abruptly stop the dot and start it in the opposite direction. Diego-san slides another few inches across the floor as he tries to re-establish his feet under him. It's like watching a Roadrunner cartoon.

New Sky

Thompson thought the sky was falling last night due to all the explosion noises. He found a spot that would serve as a new sky in addition to protecting him from falling sky pieces.

Happy July 4

The boyz are really looking forward to tonight's fireworks... NOT.

Theo is feeling a little boxed in.

Word of the Day

I learned a new word the other day: "ailurophobic." A person suffering from it has an irrational fear of cats.  Diego-san is trying to decide if the phobia is silly or if he can somehow use it to his advantage.
