List of Suspects
I stayed at a hotel Saturday night after going to the Joan Jett concert. When I returned Sunday afternoon, somebody had knocked over the two grocery bags of shredded documents I had sitting out in the living room. There were shreds of paper everywhere. I do not have surveillance cameras in the house so I can't positively prove the culprit(s).
If I had to guess I would guess the boy in front is not guilty. The chances of the boy in back being involved however are higher. The boy not pictured here would be my go to suspect... That's not to say all three boyz didn't partake in the batting shredded paper everywhere party.

Proud Papa
I'm so proud of Theo (not pictured here). I recently purchased this new food dish for the boyz. The idea is they have to figure out how to get the food from out of the green tubes. So far Theo is the only one who has figured out the trick to getting to the food. I would have bet all my money that Diego-san would be the one to figure it out but he still hasn't. When it comes to food, Theo's desire knows no bounds...

You Say Pa-tahto
Sometimes they feel mashed. Other times they feel baked or fried. Today they are trying to feel boiled.

He Doesn't Love Rock and Roll
I went to a Joan Jett concert about an hour from my house. She was fabulous but the boyz were on their own for the night. Some felt this was inexcusable.

Sunny Side Up
Sometimes he feels like a scrambled egg. Other times he feels hard boiled. Once in awhile he even feels poached or fried. Today he's sunny side up.

Ohhhhmmmm
Theo is trying to become one with my knapsack because he knows sometimes I carry my lunch in it to work.

You Don't Snooze, You Lose
Guitar practice complete, time for bed. Only there's about a foot of space on the side to squeeze in. I could grab a blanket and sleep on the floor.

Today's Casual
This is Wednesday casual. If you were to check back tomorrow you'd notice Thursday casual has a little more back curvature.

I'm not sure if it was luck or fate that brought us all together but whatever it is, we're all grateful...

Battle Royale
Theo has always been a little goofy. As he gets older, his goofiness only grows. It maybe related to a few too many knocks to the noggin.

Lucky to Be Alive
Because he hadn't eaten in two hours Theo was convinced he was going to die. He swore to me he even saw that bright light that those who have lived through a near death experience talk about.
P.S. He did survive the two more hours he had to wait before his dinner dish was replenished.

Occupied
The boyz let me know in no uncertain terms that if I needed to use the um, toilet, the line starts to the left...

DST
I tried explaining to the boyz why we lost an hour of sleep over the weekend by turning our clocks ahead an hour. This was why our weekend was a little unusual- time wise. I further explained we'd get that hour back in the fall when we turn our clocks back an hour. Diego-san thought all this was silly and we'd all be better off living on DST (Diego-san Time). This would entail eating and sleeping whenever he wants to eat and sleep.

A Converter
When people tell me they are not a "cat person" I know for sure that would probably change if they could see this face...

Lent
For Lent Diego-san has given up wanting all his commands met within 20 seconds. He's willing to allow for an extra three seconds or so.

My Boy Thompson
It occurred to me that I really don't have good videos showing the way Thompson moves. In general he does better when he is running or moving fast. He may not be able to keep up with Diego-san and Theo when they are tearing around the house, but he holds his own. He has more difficulty when he is trying to walk slowly. He tends to think about every step and steadies himself when he moves his lone front leg forward so that he doesn't end up falling over. I love to watch him move because it isn't natural movement, and it's simultaneously unique to Thompson but familiar to the way I've seen other three legged animals move.
Capturing him on video isn't always the easiest. I never think to do it during the course of the average day and quite frankly he's moving around less and less as he gets older. Here I did capture him jumping up to his favorite drinking spot...

Here Comes the Sun
It's been a long cold lonely winter... We keep telling ourselves spring will be here soon but I'm not sure any of us believe it...

The $125 Mistake
The boyz enjoyed a pretty exciting morning yesterday. I was the cause...
I was headed off to work and decided to add some oil to my car engine since I hadn't done that all winter (I'm not very good with mechanical things.) I accidentally dropped the oil cap behind the engine to a place I couldn't reach it. I tried knocking it to the ground with a stick but ended up knocking further behind the engine to a place where I could no longer even see it. There's a repair shop across the street and a mechanic was nice enough to walk over to my house to see if he could do anything. He hit the bottom of the car with his hand and we could hear the oil cap but he determined short of getting it onto a lift there wasn't anything further he could do. To get it onto the lift would have required a tow (or maybe duct tape) so oil didn't spurt all over the engine. The mechanic suggested calling auto part stores to buy a new oil cap. I called around but none of them had the right cap for my car.
I ended up taking an $80 cab ride to the dealer and back home with my new $42 oil cap. I was in and out of the house several times during this whole process and the boyz were somewhat alarmed at the change to their normal serene mornings. Theo thought this somehow meant extra food for him. Diego-san kept his distance probably figuring a trip to the vet for somebody might be in the cards. Thompson came over for some spontaneous loving. I think all involved, including myself prefer less exciting mornings.

Sew What
We are in the process of selling dad's house. He recently moved to a senior living facility. I claimed mom's old sewing machine even though I haven't got a clue about how to sew. Diego-san already has claimed the sewing machine as a favorite sitting spot. He'll probably get more use out of it than I do.
