Mr. Rabbit

Last week I noticed two young rabbits had taken up residence in my backyard. The two rabbits chased each other around in a playful way, and if I had to describe their activity I would have to say they were "romping."  Friday evening when I got home I saw the two rabbits sitting watching me walk the path to my house but I also noticed the black cat who roams the neighborhood observing the rabbits from my neighbor's yard.

I thought about chasing the cat away but didn't end up doing that.  Sure enough, Saturday morning when I went out to my garage I looked over at my neighbor's yard and saw a dead bunny right about where the cat was sitting the night before.  I felt sad I hadn't done anything not that that could have guaranteed the rabbit's safety and not that I even know the cat was guilty of the killing.

In honor of the dead rabbit I put away the boyz's stuffed rabbit for the weekend. The boyz probably think I am a traitor to the cause.

Not much you can do about a wandering cat and an inexperienced rabbit :-(

Aw, poor bunny.

That cat would have just got them another day. You only would have staved off the inevitable. Not the best way to think about it, but Zolie brings me fuzzy things all the time.
