Follow Up Post

Our boulevard ash tree was removed about month and a half ago. Just like I anticipated, it must have been quite the racket and commotion because all three of the boyz were pretty wound up when I got home from work. This morning I was home later than normal because I had a doctor appointment before work.  I was trying to enjoy a quiet morning with the boyz and my morning coffee when the most awful noise started up.  It was the city removing the tree stump from the boulevard.  The good news is I got a note informing me that a hackberry tree is going to be planted to replace the removed ash tree.  The good news for the boyz is apparently hackberry trees are good at attracting birds.  And planting a tree won't be very loud.

Sometimes you have to put up with the bad in order to get the good. Hope you get lots of birdies in your new tree!!

Anything that attracts birds is okay by us!

Those stump eating machines are dreadful! Hope they are calmer by now. So sad about all the ash trees around town. No signs "yet" of the borer out here in the burbs.
