Mr. Fun

I've taken to doing as much of my shopping online as possible because I hate dealing with crowded stores. This week featured a first- I ordered some underwear from Amazon.

I checked the delivery status while at work yesterday and saw that it had been delivered. When I got home I didn't see the box anywhere so I asked the boyz if they had seen my underwear. This brought puzzled looks from all three... Diego-san's stare indicated he thought I should first be checking underneath my clothing; Thompson's stare indicated annoyance for the times I don't always get my clothes in the hamper and leave them on the floor in plain sight; Theo's stare indicated that he was up for this new game of 'look in new places for underwear.' Oh the fun we all have....

P.S. the delivery guy left the box in the side door.

Multiple Suns?

Theo is worried because he saw the sunlight in the other room and now it's in this one.

Spotlight Time

Diego-san sometimes seeks the warmth that only the sunshine can provide. That said he does not oppose when I turn the furnace up on cold days.

My Turn

Last week we showed how Thompson enjoys spending time with Diego-san, and also how he enjoys spending time with Theo. Today I'm happy to show that Thompson also enjoys spending an afternoon lying on my chest...

Deep in Thought

Diego-san is either thinking about how no one can possibly be as soft and handsome as he is or how somebody really needs to do a better job at helping him keep the area around his eyes cleaner.

Solitaire

Theo has decided that bongo ball is not a game best played alone...

Teaming Up

Sometimes the best thing to do, no matter what else you have to do, is relax for awhile with your brother.

Dirty Jeans and Mudslide Hymns

I was preparing to be on my way to the John Hiatt concert last night (the first time I've been to the revamped Guthrie Theater- what a marvelous venue) when Theo urped, and I mean urrrppped up his dinner. I've never seen so much urp in my life. I was a little worried about him because he immediately went to hide afterward. I thought about staying home but decided to go to the show. When I got back home I was glad to find he was his usual tear around the house, harass Diego-san, beg for food self.

Time for a Groomin'?

Although it may look like Thompson is in the perfect position for a combing, he's not one who likes to be held down. He wouldn't, however, mind a nice belly rub.

Temporary Position

This bed is one I usually find Thompson using so I was a little surprised to go upstairs and see Theo in it instead. I think he's far from relaxed however, expecting Thompson to come up and tell him to get lost...

Yoga Poses

Diego-san and Thompson have to stay limber to keep up with, or ahead of their little brother...

Wandering Willow

New York (CNN) -- A furry feline named Willow, who was last seen five years ago in Colorado, was found this week roaming the streets of New York.

Country kitty turned metropolitan cat, Willow was discovered by a pedestrian on East 20th Street in Manhattan over the weekend and brought to Animal Care and Control of NYC, according to Julie Bank, the animal shelter's executive director.

Willow tested positive for a microchip, and her Colorado owners, Chris and Jamie Squires, were later contacted, according to Bank.

"Willow is in good health, kind of chunky," Bank said. "Clearly she has been taken care of or enjoying the New York City food."

How Willow traveled from Broomfield, Colorado, a suburb of Denver, to New York -- a distance of more than 1,600 miles -- over a span of five years is a mystery.

"Someone maybe picked her up in Colorado and brought her here; sometimes animals get here oddly, like on the back of a truck," Bank said. "Some people are joking that she is a city girl and wanted to see the sights."

Calls to the Squires were not immediately returned.

As for Willow, plans are being made for her to reunite with the Squires, Bank said.

For now, she will stay with a foster family until health certificates are filed and she can make the journey back home, though perhaps not as memorable as her travels to the Big Apple.

Dawn of Autumn

We had our first frost yesterday morning. I'm trying to prepare Thompson for the imminent, too cold to leave the windows open, days. The boy sure does love the fresh air...

D-Purr

If you turn up the sound to this video, you can hear two things: a Kris Kristofferson song playing in the background and Diego-san deeply purring. I also like the ending of the video- a mrrrow and a big tails up... I just hope the deep purr doesn't mean Diego prefers Kristofferson's music more than mine.

The One Who Sees All

You may not always be able to see Diego-san but he's always able to see you. Keep that in mind.

He did mention to me how 11 people left him birthday messages back in August and Thompson got a much appreciated record for this blog 17 posts the other day (not that he's counting). I pointed out I forgot to mention Theo's designated birthday at all last June...

Thumpa Thumpa Thumpa Part 2

I was on my lil scooter zipping away on my way to work yesterday morning. I was on a stretch of road with wooded areas on both sides and was probably going between 40-50 mph. I usually am somewhat cautious on this road because there are driveways that lead out to the road and I'm always leery of someone in a car not seeing me and pulling out in front of me. This has never happened on this particular road, but I'm always pretty cautious in areas where drivers might not have a clear view of me.

Sure enough a car pulled out of one of the driveways somewhat near to me so I slowed down. It was a good thing I did because right after that happened a deer bolted across the road. I was still probably going between 20-30 mph but because I had already started hitting my brakes I was able to slow down quicker than I otherwise would have. I was so close to the deer that I could have reached out and touched him, or he could have kick boxed me into the next county.

Let's just say I prefer my morning coffee as a way to wake up rather than a near collision with a deer and corresponding increase in the old heart rate...

Today is Thompson's designated birthday. I don't know a finer fellow.

R and R

Theo and I enjoyed a nice quiet Labor Day together. We took a nap in the afternoon and he sat on my lap all evening while I was reading a book. I think it was a record for him in terms of staying in one place for so long...

You Had to Be There

I think Theo may have seen some things during my absence that he hasn't seen before and doesn't particularly want to see again. I wish he'd share...

Just an FYI

Thompson is pointing out to everyone that there seems to be a mouse below his paw that is staring at him.
