I'm No Doctor but I Play One in the Blog

One of the dangers of the internet and its impact on our health care system is now you can go online to look at your medical test results. I went to the doctor on Monday and had some tests done. I looked up the results today and all my results except for one fall within the standard test ranges. The one that did not was my hemoglobin count that tested higher than the range.

Given my hypochondriac nature I of course immediately concluded I'm going to die of high hemoglobin. Maybe it's a silent killer. If I was feeling better I'd probably be all riled up but I don't have the energy. So I'll wait until the doctor contacts me to help me know what the test results really mean.

A friend forwarded me this article from the New York Times. Given my logic for the number of cats in my house I've often told friends I'm on my way to being one of those people that they find living with 200 cats. I'm not sure if the tests they did on Monday would detect this 'cat lady' parasite or not....

P.S. Our local weather forecast calls for 5 to 7 inches of snow over the next 24 hours. Blippin %$^&#!!!!!

I had to laugh when I read that article. Just the thought of house cats eating people, when so many cats are to lazy to even catch a mouse. Who would be left to feed them? MOL...

That is a lot of snow. It was an amazing 72 degrees in NYC today! Helllooo spring!

That article was rather strange. I don't think I've ever heard of a crazy cat lady being eaten by her cats. Commiserations on your snow. We are forecast to get some tonight and tomorrow morning, too. I know we need the moisture, but I'm sick of the cold.

Our Aunties are afraid our Mom wil turn into a crazy cat lady. We told her not to worry, we would never allow so many cats in our house! hehehe.

Yeah, I think high hemoglobin turns you into a crazy cat lady. Let me know when you start wearing dresses...

I hope the little higher number doesn't mean anything. I can't even think of snow - we will be in the 90ties this Sunday - and from there it will only get warmer, hahahahahha - the perks of living in Tucson!

If you want, I will break out my Milton-Bradley Operation kit and see if I can learn how to remove some of your bloods. Okay?

I think you should take up Daisy's offer, she has taken the Milton-Bradley Home Health care course you know!

SNOW! That is just craziness - everyone thinks that Canada is so cold, but it is quite balmy here today, but then I live in South Western Canada and we are not known for our harsh winters.

Oh, I forgot to tell you - my Mum IS a crazy cat lady and she only has one cat : )
