Diego was named by his foster family. The girl in the family named him after Diego Rivera. Rivera's wife, Frida Kahlo, has an exhibit being displayed in town. Oh my gosh, Diego-San was actually a muse for the painting!
And yes, I do meow with a Canadian accent. I also end my meowing with an "eh". It sounds something like this - Meow, mao, mao meow eh?
